Build a workplace where young staff can succeed and want to stay.

Practical programs that help managers and organisations develop loyalty, strengthen resilience and support young staff to become confident, capable and independent at work.Start with a practical four-week program, strengthen your leaders’ mentoring skills or work with Jono to redesign onboarding and mentoring across your organisation.

THE CHALLENGE

Young staff can appear to lack resilience and loyalty.

They may struggle to prioritise competing tasks, need repeated reminders or find it difficult to respond to feedback and recover from setbacks.
From the outside, this can look like poor attitude, low resilience or a lack of commitment.
But many young staff are entering employment while still developing the communication, problem-solving and self-management skills experienced workers take for granted.Without clear onboarding, consistent expectations and the right support, uncertainty can become dependence, and managers end up carrying responsibility that should gradually be transferred.Young staff cannot build workplace resilience and independence through pressure alone. They need workplace structures and leaders that help them develop both.

A PRACTICAL PATH FORWARD

Build the conditions young staff need to succeed.

Loyalty and resilience cannot be demanded. They develop when young staff experience belonging, clear expectations, consistent support and opportunities to grow. Our programs help managers and organisations move from reacting to problems to creating workplaces where young staff can become confident, capable and independent.

Belonging → Clarity → Confidence → Independence

Week 2: Build belonging and connection
Week 3: Create clarity and confidence
Week 4: Help them see a future with you
Each week gives you a practical action to implement in your workplace, not just information to read and forget.Includes the Young Staff Recruitment Interview Guide
—practical questions to help you explore a candidate’s motivation, expectations, communication and potential fit with your workplace.
